How does Pet Age Pro calculate my pet’s age in human years?
It starts from your pet’s exact age and uses a formula for the breed’s size class. Cats count 15 human years for the first year, 24 at age two, then 4 more for each year after that. Dogs are grouped as small, medium, large, giant or flat-faced (brachycephalic), because larger dogs age faster in later life. For example, a small dog is about 24 at age two and adds 5 years each year after; a giant breed adds 8. The result is an estimate to help you understand life stage, not a medical measurement. Is Pet Age Pro free?
Yes. Pet Age Pro is free to download and use. Some care articles link to education pages, and AppSphere Solutions may earn a commission if you later shop through them.
Is Pet Age Pro available on iPhone?
Pet Age Pro is available now for Android on Google Play. The iPhone version is on its way, and this page will link to the App Store as soon as it is live.
Does it work for mixed breeds?
Yes. The breed search covers more than 250 dog and cat breeds, including mixed breeds and common designer mixes. For a mix, the app uses a size-based formula, so the human-age figure is an estimate, just as it is for purebreds.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings in the app and choose Delete account. This removes the account and its pets. You can also ask from the website on the Request Data Deletion page.
